If you want to enjoy Copenhagen on two wheels than Baisikeli is the place to visit. Their
concept is really cool. By renting a bike you actually support their work in Africa. Not to mention that you don’t
have to ride stupid tourist bikes anymore. Who wants that anyway?
Henrik, one of the masterminds behind Baisikeli, explained that there are around 400.000 used bicycles each year
in the city of Copenhagen that have no owner due to diverse reasons. He told me that Baisikeli is all about belief.
Not only do they collect and ship used bicycles to Mozambique and
Sierra Leone, but they do it with such strong commitment that it even made me wonder what my contribution is to
the world itself. These guys reminded me that it is all about helping each other out. So whenever you plan to visit
Copenhagen, please support their great attitude and rent a bike at Baisikeli. Ow yeah…did you know that Baisikeli
means bicycle in Swahili? Me neither.
